Last Sunday, we celebrated the beginning of Advent by lighting our first candle, the Prophecy Candle. With it, we joined in the anticipation of those who were under the old covenant and walked in faith, believing they would see God's promise of a Messiah fulfilled. That promise goes all the way back to Eden, is threaded throughout the old testament, and as we know, sees its fulfilment in the arrival of Jesus. Before we reach the next stop on our journey through the Advent season this Sunday, take some time to reflect on where we've been. From our reading last Sunday, Isaiah 9:6-7 (ESV):

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Pray First || 12/7/25 || The Springs Room 124
Come pray with us this Sunday, December 7th! “Pray First” is a once-a-month prayer rally for our entire church family. We’ll pray from 8:15 - 8:45 AM on the first Sunday morning of each month in Rm 124. Not only will this start our Sunday morning off right, but this will be a regular declaration to the Lord that The Springs Church is dependent on Him for all things! Adults, youth, kids…let’s all join together and Pray First.

Joel & Tien Farris Lunch || 12/7/25 || 12:00 PM ||The Springs Fireside Room
Please join the Missions Committee for lunch with Joel and Tien Farris. We will be enjoying a taco and nacho bar! Please RSVP so we know if you'll be able to make it!

Advent Family Resources
Advent: noun - "coming"
This Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of Advent! Observing Advent as a family is a great way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas together as you remember the first Advent/"coming" of Jesus as a baby to be the Savior of the world. Feel free to stop by the Advent resource table, where we have an Advent resource for families and also an Advent devotional booklet for students.

Men, 2nd Wednesday is Coming! || 12/10/25 || 6:30 – 7:35 AM || The Springs Fireside Room
Men, as many of us know, there are times when following Jesus isn’t easy—and it’s not always meant to be. Life can pull hard in every direction, but in the midst of that we’re called to stand firm, side by side, and grow strong in Christ. That’s what 2nd Wednesday is about.

Last month we explored what it means to truly abide in Christ. This month, Pastor Tom will build on that foundation as we look at the astounding gift of the Holy Spirit—our source of strength, direction, and power to live as His disciples in everyday life.
Come early. Grab some coffee. Let’s get real and grow as men who live out their faith every day. Don’t come alone—invite another man who needs encouragement.
If you can join us, please send a quick note to tom@thesprings.church. Hope to see you on the 10th!
