In this issue:
With warmer weather, graduation ceremonies and changing schedules, the onset of summer often brings to mind the opening passage of Ecclesiastes 3, "To everything there is a season." But the verses that follow that familiar list offer some understanding of God's purpose in these seasons and joy to the work God has set before us.
Ecclesiastes 3:9-14 (ESV)What gain has the worker from his toil? I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.
Take joy in the fruit of your labor, and put it to use for the good work God has set before you. Know that God's promises are sure, and His work will endure eternally. To God be the glory!

Thriller from the Griller || 5/30 || 6:00 - 9:00 PM || The Springs Gym
Last year many of our men enjoyed "The Thriller from the Griller" , an evening of eating food off the grill and watching a great movie. Well my friend the "Thriller from the Griller" is back on Friday, May 30th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM as we are gathering again to enjoy some time around two things that we love - grilled meat and watching "The Forge." This movie tells the story about a young man headed in the wrong direction and through the prayers of his mother and discipleship from a mentor begins to discover God's purpose for his life. My hope is that the Lord will use this movie to inspire us to grow as disciples and disciple makers. Due to the content of the movie this is an event that all men (high school and up) are welcome to attend. I hope you are able to join us to get to know a few guys from the church, eat some good food and be inspired as a disciple. If you are interested or have any questions please let us know.
If you are interested in serving as one of our grillers please contact either Josh Zinner (816-550-1615) or Tom Semmelbeck (417-576-5821). As with last year, we will have a friendly competition among our grillers and give a trophy to the man who wins :)
