What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. || Psalm 8:4–5 (ESV)
On January 22nd, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation that the third Sunday in January would be designated as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. This is a day to remember that human life, in all stages, is precious and should be protected. As you head into the weekend, consider taking a moment to thank our Father for the gift of life and ask Him to protect the yet-to-be born and the marginalized in society. Pray also that He would guide governments, policy-makers, and culture leaders toward a biblical, and God-centered view of the gift that life is. In addition, pray that He would give you wisdom and strength to live out your role in honoring the sanctity of human life.

Pickleball - Learn to Play || 1/25/25 || 12:30 PM - 2 PM for Families AND 2 PM - 3:30 PM for 16 and older || The Springs Church Gym (Upstairs)
Have you been wanting to learn how to play Pickleball? Or maybe you've been wondering what Pickleball even is? Pickleball is a fun mix of tennis, badminton and ping-pong on a court that is smaller than a tennis court. On Saturday, January 25th The Springs will have an opportunity for you to learn from John and Nancy Winters all about this popular game. From 12:30 PM to 2 PM will be specifically for families and 2 PM to 3:30 PM will be specifically for those 16 and older. They will be covering the rules, how you score, safety, etc. The Springs has equipment for our two courts, but feel free to bring your own! Please sign up in the Lobby so we have an idea how many to expect!

Men's Tailgate Party || 1/26/25 || 1:30 PM || The Springs Gym and Fellowship Hall
Men - the NFL season is winding down and the playoffs are approaching fast! Come and join us as we gather together as men to WATCH the NFC conference championship game which begins at 2:00 PM (CST). This year we are asking men to bring their favorite snack/dip to share and we will provide the drinks. We will have an open gym for those who want to stretch their legs during the game. KIDS ARE WELCOME. This is the perfect time to hang out with friends, to meet new ones or to invite a friend who doesn't have a church home. Sign up in the Lobby or contact Pastor Tom (tom@thesprings.church).

Sunday Morning Class: Glad You Asked || 9:00 AM || Room 124
All of our GROUPS and MINISTRIES have kicked off for the winter, but you can still visit any of these groups at anytime!
One class that we would love to highlight for you is 'Glad You Asked'. How many times have you been placed in a challenging situation when faced with skeptical questions about Christianity? You know Christianity is true, but you struggle to communicate the truth effectively. In this class we will address some of the key questions that Christians face like; "Is there really a God?", "Why do the innocent suffer" and "If Christianity is true, why are there so many hypocrites?" Our hope is that the Lord will use this class to equip us to provide effective and biblical answers to the questions that we face about our faith. Led by Tom Semmelbeck & Matt Julian
For more information on this group or other groups and happenings, brochures and calendars are available in the Lobby.

Weather Cancellations & Postponements
When the weather outside is frightful, please be sure to check The Springs Facebook page before beginning your trip to church! We will be posting cancellations and postponements of scheduled services when needed. We will also send out a message via Realm and text. We will also use the same method if we have a need to alter our weekend services due to other factors such as power outages, etc.
*If you need to update your email, please write your name and email on a Connect Card and place it in the box in the lobby, or fill out a digital connect card. To opt in to text messages, text START to 417-738-5655.
