After weeks of blistering summer heat, we've been blessed with a brief reprieve today that no doubt sparks an excitement for fall. And while the calendar may say fall is still almost two weeks away, this Sunday marks the start of our fall programming at The Springs!

As we approach this time of new classes, new groups, and new opportunities to connect, I want to encourage you to be in prayer about how God may be calling you to take a new step in your walk with Him. That may be in a deeper study of His Word. It may be in building new relationships with others who can encourage and "sharpen" you in your walk with Christ. Perhaps it is to carve out intentional time in your weekly schedule to spend with the Lord and with His people.

Whatever those next steps may be, remember that no journey was taken by standing still. Whether we've been following Jesus for one year or fifty, we still have a great deal of growing to do and numerous opportunities to serve others as He did. As we approach this new season, may God grant us a greater desire to know Him, a greater fervor for unity in our relationships with one another, and a greater opportunity to live out the Gospel and put the love of Christ on display!

- Pastor Rob

Children's Ministry Family Connect || 9/13 || After 2nd Service || Worship Center
Parents of children from birth-4th grade are invited to hear about the upcoming year in Children’s Ministry. We'll be sharing some things we’re excited about this coming year as we work to create positive, consistent classroom environments where kids will receive Gospel care and learn about following Jesus one step at a time. *Children are welcome to attend with you! (childcare will not be available).

Veteran's Coming Home Lunch || 9/16
We are in need of volunteers to serve at the luncheon. Please bring donations to the church by Sunday, September 13th. You can drop donations off in the cabinet located next to the Local Missions counter, by the Worship Center doors.

Men & Boys Cornhole Tournament || 9/19 || 5:00 PM || The Springs
MEN AND BOYS, it is nearly time for our Men’s Ministry Cornhole Tournament! Hope you’ve had plenty of backyard practice this summer because it’s time for the big leagues and a chance to take home the crown this year! The tournament will be on Saturday, September 19th starting at 5pm on the green space here at The Springs! Any man or boy is welcome to sign up to compete. You can sign up with a partner or we can help pair you up to form a team, and we'll have a Men's team only bracket, as well as an Adult & Boy team bracket. Consider inviting a friend to join us too, it’s a great way to get introduced to our church! There is no cost to compete, but if you'd like, you can give a donation to help with costs at the event. We will award a prize to the first place duo, and of course will have plenty of food as well - burgers, hot dogs, chips, and soda, and don't forget to bring a lawn chair!

Sign up today through 9/13 in the lobby or by contacting Pastor Trent (trent@thesprings.church or 309-830-8094). If you have a cornhole set you would let us borrow for the event, please reach out to Jacob Fox at 605-545-6238.

Start practicing & come ready to play!
