In this issue:
We are just a few days away from Family Bible Camp: Knights of the Kingdom! As the decorations have been going up for the past few days, our lobby has slowly transformed into a medieval castle; the perfect place to learn about the Armor of God! If you haven't signed up, there's still time; more info on that later in this newsletter.
All of the medieval masonry brings to mind David's song of deliverance at the end of 2 Samuel (recorded again later as Psalm 18), with David recognizing that all of his victories and triumphs were brought about not through his own strength, but by the strong arm of the Lord in His steadfast love and mercy toward David
Psalm 18:1-3 (ESV):
I love you, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.

The movie details the life of WWII era German Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a man who showed incredible faith and commitment to Christ in the face of great evil. Be sure to look for the sign up in the lobby to let us know you're coming and if you'd also like to contribute to the grilling and compete for the chance to be crowned champion of the grillers!
If you have questions or are unable to sign up in the lobby, please contact either Josh Zinner (816-550-1615) or Trent Moberly (309-830-8094).
