The 4th of July is a great time to pray for our country and to celebrate it's freedoms. It's also a wonderful time to reflect on our spiritual freedom in Christ and give thanks for God's salvation. Here are some ways we all can experience a meaningful 4th of July:
  • Prayer: Expresses gratitude for the vision of freedom and justice that our country was built on, and for those who continue to advocate for it.
  • Honoring the past: Honor the commitment of those who came before, and the sacrifices that many have made for the freedoms we are blessed to experience.
  • Scripture: Reflect on these Bible verses that celebrate our spiritual freedom such as Galatians 5:1, or John 8:31-32.

Family Ministry 4th of July Weekend Schedule
Due to the 4th of July weekend, this Sunday, July 6th is a Family Worship Sunday; we will not have our regular programming for Kindergarten-12th Grade. (Nursery through Preschool will still be provided during both services.) We are excited to welcome the K-12th graders into our worship services this week. Please keep an eye out for them and make sure they feel welcome!

NO Pray First on Sunday, July 6th
We will not be having Pray First this coming Sunday, July 6th but we will look forward to being together for Pray First on Sunday, August 3rd!

2nd Wednesday, "Engaging the Battle for Our Souls" || 7/9 || 6:30 AM || The Springs
Men, we live in an angry world; a world that encourages outrage and is easily offended at every turn. Often men live with anger throughout their lives and it is this anger that undermines their relationship with God, their wives, and their children, as well as robs them from the freedom they have been given in Christ. Please join us in the Fireside Room on Wednesday, July 9th at 6:30 AM as we focus on the issue of anger and in doing so engage the battle for our souls.

Summer in the Psalms Sunday Morning Class || 7/13 - 8/24 || 10:30 AM || Rm 120/122
Over the summer our church family will be working our way through the third section of the Psalms by using a summer reading plan & through our weekly sermons. To enrich our experience in the Psalms we will be providing a 7 week discussion based class from July 13-August 24 at 10:30 AM. The focus of this time will be to discuss both the Psalms from the previous weeks readings as well as process the sermon from the 9:00 AM service. This class will be led by Pastors & Elders. Whether you’re new to The Springs or have been here a while, this is a great place for discussion, growth & fellowship. We hope you’ll stop by!

Help with making Mercy Mats for the Homeless || 7/14 || 10:00 AM || Rm 120
Anyone interested in helping out the homeless by making "Mercy Mats"? We will be meeting on Monday, July 14th at 10:00 AM at The Springs in room 120. For further information, please call Peggy Rogers at 714-614-3958 and feel free to leave a message!

Summer in the Psalms - God's Playlist
Did you know that the Psalms are actually divided into five books? Starting this Sunday, June 22nd, The Springs will be reading through the third book of the Psalms, which includes chapters 73-89. This initiative will be a great way to spend some daily time in the Word and will be a great study for new to seasoned believers alike. We are also excited to spend time in the same book together as a congregation!
Bookmarks for the summer reading plan are now available in the Lobby!
